SubscribeI think that we're finally having to break through on how to equalize and equilibrate the inequities we have in healthcare. The fact that we can move knowledge, not people. The fact that we can get care using different tools from urban centers where expertise exists, into rural areas. Anything we can do to reduce the health inequities in the country is positive. And I’m starting to see glimmers for the first time in my career that we are going in that direction.
Dr. Amy Compton-Phillips, Providence
There are quite a few miniature health systems in the Phoenix Metro and Tucson Metro area. And what we found was that we needed to be able to see and integrate and work together. We need to know who has beds when and where, and ventilators and staff. So a big win for us and what made us successful earlier was that our state Health Information Exchange, Health Current, already had ADT interfaces with 95% of the state. And so with Banner Health we have a specific integration with Central Logic for our own bed visibility. But the HIE allowed us to have Central Logic interface with HIE to get the information in and translate into the language that we needed to see the beds.
Charles Larsen, Central Logic
While things are getting better, we’re not out of the woods by any stretch.
