A recent survey of over 500 women undergoing mammography revealed that only 4% are comfortable with artificial intelligence (AI) interpreting their results independently, while 71% favor it as a supplementary reviewer alongside human radiologists. Most respondents, primarily aged 40 to 69, demonstrated limited knowledge of AI, with 75% acknowledging minimal understanding of the technology. Acceptance of AI varied by race and education level, with common concerns regarding its effectiveness and impact on patient-doctor relationships.
