Valuable Insights from our alumni is what makes our show special

We are seeing that there's less and less brand loyalty. And I know that that's a struggle with the health systems. They're trying to work on their patient portals that are now in the third iteration of post meaningful use. They're trying to make sure they're not clunky and that they do have the digital tools available to be able to really drive that customer experience. I will say that there are still some benefits to going into your healthcare organization.

Christine Parent, MEDITECH

We created a digital services steering committee. Salesforce, for example, is a component of that committee. Then we looked at the different resources that we had in the company and brought them all together, HR, budgets etc. And we put it all into one area and moved it into IT. Then we changed our name from IT to ITDS. So we are Information Technology and Digital Services.

Craig Richardville, SCL Health

We're looking for fall detection. And the way Quil Health does that right now is we learn the blueprint of the home, essentially. So we look for patterns in how they move throughout that home. And as they pass through these different sensor zones, we can understand if they are in a hallway or in a stairwell for longer than expected then there's a high probability that they've had some sort of event in there. And from that we can raise a concern to the family member to say, Hey you might want to contact mom or dad and find out what's going on. Have they fallen or something like that.
