The cool thing about FHIR is that it's all just regular web technology. If you have a regular web developer, you just point them at this spec that's online and they can go at it. I've shown people within an hour.

I think from a CIO standpoint, I would look for a vendor who takes ownership. If there was a problem, say it's running slow, oftentimes it might not necessarily be anything to do with the PACS software, maybe it’s a network issue but we have got to take ownership.

I think security is scalable because for the companies who do security operations as a service, the more customers they have, the more stuff they see, the more they're able to correlate attacks on several hospitals at the same time.
