Patrick Anderson is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of City of Hope.
Prior to City of Hope, Mr. Anderson was the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Hoag. He leads the optimization of the IT department/services and Hoag’s clinical and business systems ensuring world-class quality and safe patient care through leadership of systems, staff, and adoption of advanced technology.
Prior, Mr. Anderson served as the SVP and CIO at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, where he was instrumental in the growth and innovation of the health system through population management strategy, telemedicine system development, and deployment of clinical and business systems across a network of 25 hospitals. Mr. Anderson delivered scalability to a fast growing health system with high availability of systems and exceptional customer service.
Prior to Ochsner, Mr. Anderson spent over six years at Sutter Health in Sacramento where he was the Chief Operating Officer, Information Services, leading an IT staff of over 2500 employees. Sutter Health operates 25 hospitals and 250 clinics employing 50,000 employees. Mr. Anderson’s major accomplishments at Sutter include the oversight of clinical and business enterprise systems, Electronic Health Record implementation, and oversight of all IT infrastructures. He deployed Epic Systems and delivered strategic planning, high availability, innovation, optimization, business transformation, compliance, and operations.
Before Sutter Health, Mr. Anderson was the Chief Information Officer at the Los Angeles County Department of Health. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Anderson’s past experience also includes working at United Healthcare. He has served on multiple boards and advisory committees for major technology organizations and nonprofit community organizations.
