The Browser Blind Spot

Why Clinician AI Use Is Invisible to IT

Wednesday, September 30, 20261:00 PM ET1 hour
The Browser Blind Spot

Clinicians are already using AI tools today, largely inside the browser, on devices IT may not fully manage. Most health systems find out after the fact, if they find out at all.

This isn't a policy failure so much as a visibility challenge. Security tooling was built to watch devices and networks, but not build for AI. Governance conversations tend to start after a tool is already in daily use, which means IT is reacting to adoption instead of getting ahead of it. The fix starts before enforcement: getting visibility into what's actually happening in the browser first, then building policy that meets the needs of the healthcare system and clinicians.

In this session, a health system leader and a Google panelist talk through what that looks like in practice:

  • closing the visibility gap

  • bringing clinical leadership into AI governance from day one

  • moving from thick-client sprawl to a managed browser without disrupting clinical workflows.

If you're a CIO, CISO, or CMIO trying to govern AI adoption you can't fully see yet, this is for you.
