Shawna Hofer serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for St. Luke’s Health System, embodying a passionate dedication to cybersecurity and fostering genuine connections. Shawna is responsible for safeguarding the digital integrity of Idaho’s largest private employer and not-for-profit health system, encompassing 9 hospitals and over 200 clinics across Southwest Idaho. Her journey reflects a decade of immersion in healthcare technology and cybersecurity at St. Luke’s. Prior to this, she gained invaluable experience at Deloitte & Touché, LLP, honing her consulting skills. Shawna holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from Boise State University and a Master of Science in Accountancy, specializing in Accounting Information Systems, from San Diego State University. She is certified as a HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), Certified Healthcare Information Security Leader (CHISL), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Beyond her professional role, Shawna contributes to the Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity at Boise State University and engages with various community and technology boards.
