When you're in there caring for the patient bedside, you're focused on the patient. You're focused on their outcomes. And you stop and think, why did they come here? How did they get here? What was the story behind it? If their patient journey becomes a downward spiral and they end up in the ICU you think, maybe it didn't have to be. Perhaps the information they were listening to wasn't factual.
You have to be able to pivot. If you don't have that core infrastructure to be able to be agile, you don't know what's going to be thrown at you.

We know what we know and we don't know what we don't know. So we tend to go towards what we know. But organizations are getting more sophisticated. How are other industries, outside of healthcare, doing this? How are they making their consumer experience platinum level?
We need to talk to clinicians, administrators and family members to really understand the journey mapping, the technology, the data, people and processes. Whenever we do that it helps reduce friction on both sides of the equation.
