Recent Zero-Day Could Impact Up to 97,000 Microsoft Exchange Servers
Summary
Shadowserver Foundation reported around 28,000 Microsoft Exchange servers vulnerable to a new zero-day after the release of patches for the privilege escalation flaw from Microsoft. Another 68,000 servers could possibly be vulnerable, making a total of roughly 97,000 potentially exploitable servers. Most potentially impacted servers are in Germany, US, and UK. Urgent action from organisations for mitigation and patch application is strongly advised. No current information on exploitation of this vulnerability.
