Summary
Oklahoma's Integris Health network suffered a cyberattack, with patient data stolen and held for ransom. Blackmail emails with detailed personal data sent to patients, followed by Integris Health's confirmation of unauthorized activity, confirmed the breach. Hackers claim they stole data for 2+ million patients, threatening to sell it if no ransom paid. Their dark web site currently lists data for ~4.674M people, with options to pay to view or delete records. Similarities with an attack on Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center suggest the same ransomware gang may be responsible. However, paying to delete data offers no guarantees and may encourage further extortion.
