Summary
Hospital-at-home care, assisted by technological advancements, has grown rapidly in recent years. Leading health systems including Atrium Health, Mass General Brigham, and Mayo Clinic have developed extensive home care programs, leading to decreased costs, lower readmission rates and higher patient satisfaction. Challenges include patient identification, staffing, financial constraints, and achieving necessary regulatory changes. Despite these obstacles, many believe hospital-at-home is the future of healthcare.
