As American households average around 21 connected devices, the White House is considering an executive order mandating that federal purchases adhere to these security standards by 2027, reflecting a commitment to improving Internet of Things (IoT) product security. The initiative has also garnered bipartisan support from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
