University Hospitals Invests $3 Million in Affordable Housing Development

University Hospitals has committed $3 million to the Gateway66 at League Park, a multi-family, mixed-income housing development in Cleveland's Hough neighborhood, as part of its Community Health Investment Strategy. This investment, financed through a soft-debt mortgage from UH’s endowment fund, aims to improve well-being and economic opportunities by addressing social determinants of health, particularly stable housing. The project will consist of 82,237 square feet of new construction, offering a mix of affordable and market-rate units, and seeks to enhance access to health resources in the area.
