The Pearl, a new healthcare district in Charlotte, North Carolina, has officially opened as a collaborative hub for medical training and health technology, spearheaded by Atrium Health and Wexford Science & Technology. Featuring the city's first four-year medical school and the North American headquarters of IRCAD, the initiative is expected to create 5,500 jobs on-site and over 11,500 in the region within the next 15 years.
