Tampa General Hospital has reached a $6.8 million settlement in a class action lawsuit related to a data breach that affected over 2.4 million patients, initially reported to involve 1.2 million. The breach, detected on May 31, 2023, compromised sensitive information, including names, Social Security numbers, and health insurance data.
