Sanford Health has launched the My Care Line virtual care program to improve healthcare services in 27 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across South Dakota, as part of a $350 million virtual care initiative. Operating from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays and continuously on weekends, the service connects caregivers with registered nurses and advanced practice providers, addressing various health concerns and enhancing support for residents during after-hours. This program is particularly crucial for small, rural communities with limited healthcare access, aiming to deliver timely medical responses and elevate the overall quality of care for seniors.
