Groundbreaking Hospital-at-Home Program Finds Early Success at Nemours Children's

Nemours Children’s Health has launched a groundbreaking Advanced Care at Home program aimed at pediatric patients, a first for independent children's hospitals in the U.S. Serving up to 75 patients daily, the initiative has demonstrated significant success during its pilot phase by preventing 27 readmissions and 91 emergency room visits. This model allows medically stable children with complex needs to receive tailored care—including telehealth and in-person visits—at home, ultimately reducing hospital stays and easing financial burdens on families. The program underscores the growing importance of personalized, technology-enabled home health solutions in pediatric care.
