Northwell and Nuvance Merge to Transform Healthcare for 13 Million Residents

Northwell Health and Nuvance Health have merged to form a new health system serving over 13 million residents in New York and Connecticut, with a combined operating budget of $22.6 billion. The newly integrated organization employs over 104,000 staff, including 22,000 nurses and 13,500 providers, and encompasses 28 hospitals and more than 1,050 outpatient facilities. The merger aims to improve patient care through collaboration between the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research and the Zucker School of Medicine, with Northwell committing to invest at least $1 billion in Nuvance hospitals to enhance services and address health disparities across the communities served.
