September saw a slight decline in overall hospital performance, although the median Kaufman Hall Calendar Year-To-Date Operating Margin Index showed a slight increase to 1.4%. This is attributed to variations in 2023 hospital performances. Despite decreased volume across all hospitals, improvements in overall financial picture compared to 2022 were observed.
