Microsoft’s new Copilot key is the first big change to Windows keyboards in 30 years

Microsoft's "AI PC" year commences with a Copilot key change on new PCs and laptops for quick access to Windows Copilot experience. Replacing the menu key, the AI-driven Copilot key initiates the chatbot-like Windows Copilot in Windows 11, or Windows Search where the feature is unavailable. The Copilot key will feature on new Windows 11 PCs, including upcoming Surface devices, by spring. The innovation forms part of Microsoft's plan to incorporate more AI features in Windows alongside branding Microsoft Edge as the "AI browser."
