AMA Board of Trustees Chair Michael Suk emphasized the organization’s commitment to integrating AI to improve patient experiences and outcomes. The AMA has revised its policies on AI development to ensure physicians participate in shaping its future in healthcare. A panel at the summit discussed the need for balancing innovation with patient protection, noting a significant increase in state-level AI legislation, with over 100 bills introduced in 2024.
