Indiana University Health Appoints David Burton as New CIO

Indiana University Health has appointed David Burton as the new chief information officer (CIO) effective February 9, 2025. With 25 years of experience, including a recent role as chief revenue officer at IU Health, Burton is expected to lead the organization’s Informatics and Information Services to enhance patient care and operational efficiencies. Additionally, Amar Nagaram has been named associate CIO, beginning the same day, having spent nearly four years aligning IT initiatives with the organization's strategic goals. His efforts have centered on improving patient care and building a skilled IT team.
