Google is redesigning its search engine — and it’s AI all the way down

Led by Liz Reid, Google's head of Search, these AI enhancements aim to simplify complex queries by aggregating and organizing data from various sources, including text, voice, image, and video inputs. Key features revealed at Google's I/O conference include tools for video search, automatic trip planning, and AI-enhanced local searches. While not all searches will utilize AI, the Gemini model focuses on delivering accurate and comprehensive results, blending Google's existing Knowledge Graph with new AI capabilities to enhance user experience and encourage deeper engagement with high-quality content.
