Geisinger Health System Transforms Patient Care with AI Innovations

Geisinger Health System is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to improve its value-based care initiatives, aiming to deliver targeted care to patients. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Narayana Murali noted that this strategy has positively impacted patient outcomes, building on the foundation established with the Keystone Accountable Care Organization in 2013 and recent collaboration with Risant Health to further these efforts. The COVID-19 pandemic spurred significant technological advancements, leading to the creation of the Geisinger Intelligent Automation Hub, which implemented a variety of bots and automations that have collectively saved nearly 897,000 hours of labor while enhancing efficiency in areas such as COVID-19 testing and vaccine scheduling.
