Continuum Health Alliance Data Breach Affects 377,000 Consensus Medical Group Patients

Continuum Health Alliance, a healthcare management organization in Marlton, NJ, reported a data breach affecting 377,119 patients of Consensus Medical Group after discovering unauthorized access to their network on October 19, 2023. The personal information exposed included patients’ names and Social Security numbers. In response, Continuum has implemented additional security measures, offered credit monitoring services to affected individuals, and completed a forensic investigation to address and prevent future incidents. Additionally, Guardant Health in Redwood City, CA, informed clients of a data exposure caused by an accidental file upload online, affecting an unspecified number of patients with varying personal and medical information exposed, albeit without involving financial data or Social Security numbers. Guardant Health has also taken actions to strengthen security protocols and provided additional employee training in response to the breach.
