Aurora Launches Colorado's First Health Science High School for Future Professionals

The Community College of Aurora (CCA) has partnered with Aurora Public Schools (APS) to launch Colorado's first Health Science High School (HSHS) in fall 2027, supported by a 2024 voter-approved bond. Located in northwest Aurora, the school will offer specialized pathways in healthcare education, targeting fields like nursing, behavioral health, and surgical technology. In collaboration with UC Health, students will receive hands-on experience and industry certifications, facilitating a direct connection between their education and potential careers. This initiative aims to prepare students for diverse roles in health sciences, ensuring equitable access across the APS district.
