Mike Smith is an accomplished executive with nearly 17 years of experience in healthcare IT and over 25 years of IT experience. He has helped build out KLAS’ healthcare consulting and services research and led sales, research and strategy for several of the key strategic research units in KLAS. Mike has helped design many of the processes used for working with and supporting vendors, building out and maintaining new market segments and taking research from cradle to grave. He is directly responsible for publishing nearly 40 reports on a myriad of consulting and services topics in healthcare regarding implementation, IT outsourcing, revenue cycle services, cybersecurity, cloud computing, advisory services, etc. He has also overseen publications of hundreds of reports on topics regarding patient accounting, VBC services, ICD-10, ERP, management consulting, BI, quality management, etc. At EDS he developed a service offering that connected GM suppliers to GM through a secure messaging service called the eXtended Enterprise Network.
