Dr. Michael A. Pfeffer is the Chief Information Officer for Stanford Health Care. Previously, Michael had served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer of UCLA Health. Dr. Pfeffer was an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine for the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Prior to serving as AVP and CIO, he was the Chief Medical Informatics Officer for UCLA Health.

Dr. Pfeffer graduated from Brown University with a degree in chemical engineering and earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at UCLA. Dr. Pfeffer is board certified in internal medicine and clinical informatics.
