Joe Longo serves as the Senior Vice President/Chief Digital Information Officer for Parkland Health in Dallas, Texas, one of the largest public health systems in the country. He is a recognized progressive healthcare technology executive who has stewarded IT strategic plans and technology direction for major hospital systems and IT firms.
Joe prides himself on his service to public health, applying advanced healthcare IT capabilities to environments typically under-represented in the high-tech community. His executive tenure at Parkland began with managing the technology program for the new Parkland campus project, which was one of the world's most significant greenfield hospital construction endeavors.
Since joining Parkland’s leadership team, he has propelled the organization to achieve significant milestones, including its first 9 Most Wired designations, HITRUST certification, Stage 7 on the HIMSS Analytics Maturity Model (AMAM), and two of the prestigious Davis Awards in 2017 and 2022. He was the Inspire Dallas/CIO 2022 CIO of the Year ORBIE award recipient.
Joe is a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) and Certified Digital Health – Executive (CDH-E) through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) organization and holds an MBA from Baylor University.
