Jennifer Stemmler is the SVP, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Adventist Health’s headquarters office in California. Jennifer is responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and teams driving technology and digital transformation as part of a consumer-centric delivery model. Key responsibilities include leading the information technology, application, cybersecurity and digital teams, doubling the number of lives served in consumer & innovation initiatives, digital transformation, and tangible outcomes. Leads the design of curated, personalized digital-first experiences partnered with targeted operational change strategies. Successfully led development of the organization’s first consumer & innovation playbook, as part of Adventist Health’s strategy to transform the way a consumer experiences their health and well-being journey. Responsible for developing strategic targets, plans and organizational alignment to achieve our health system’s big swings, securing investment and support by partnering with key cross-functional teams.
Prior to this role, Jennifer led several key strategic areas as part of the organization’s Information Technology executive team, including the health system’s first Information Technology strategic playbook. As the executive responsible for driving significant Information Technology transformation, Jennifer also led the health system’s achievement of the highest award for CHIME’s Most Wired Level 8, representing the technology achievement of the top 20% of healthcare systems nationwide. Jennifer led multidisciplinary teams to transition over 280+ ambulatory clinics from various systems and paper processes to Cerner Ambulatory, in close partnership with several key players.
