Didi Davis has 30+ years experience in the healthcare industry with emphasis in the implementation, development, and management of information technology solutions and healthcare workflow requirements. She is nationally known as a subject matter expert for healthcare standards, interoperability design and strategy for healthcare stakeholders deploying health information technology to improve patient safety and quality of care. She founded Serendipity Health in April 2009 to provide consulting for the advancement and deployment of interoperable healthcare by connecting people, processes and technology. Didi Davis serves on the Tennessee HIMSS Board, is the VP, Informatics, Conformance & Interoperability for the Sequoia Project, and on the IHE International Board of Directors. Mrs. Davis has previously contracted as the Interim CEO for CareSpark, Inc., a Health Information Exchange (HIE) in Tennessee. She has also contracted with ONC, the State of TN as CTO for the statewide HIE and a Not-for-Profit 501(c)3 HIE located in Knoxville, TN known as the East TN Health Information Network (etHIN).
Prior to founding Serendipity Health, Mrs. Davis was senior director of Informatics at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Prior to joining HIMSS in May 2006 she was employed by Eclipsys Corporation as Director, IT Product Strategies. From 1994-1997, she was the Vice President of Implementation for Omnicell Technologies for the Southeastern Territory. From 1990 – 1994 she was a Senior Budget Analyst for the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
