Solome Tibebu is a behavioral health strategist passionate about frontier technologies and solutions transforming mental health, equity and access. She works with telehealth and chronic disease companies, mental health startups, pharma, health plans and systems, and private equity funds as a behavioral health technology subject matter expert. She is an advisor and investor to various digital health startups and a scout for a16z. Solome is the founding Fund Director for The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health, a philanthropic fund seeded by Melinda French Gates' personal office, Pivotal Ventures. Since 2020, The Upswing Fund has funded nearly 100 organizations focused on the mental health and well-being of adolescents of color and LGBTQ+ youth. She also serves as a formal advisor to Pivotal Ventures and Hopelab. She is also the founder and host of women-owned, minority-owned Going Digital: Behavioral Health Tech summit, the largest conference focused on expanding access to mental health and substance use services through technology and innovation. In 2021, the GDBHT conference boasted 130 speakers and over 4,000 registrants.
