Brad Reimer serves as chief information officer for Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the country, which serves more than 1.5 million patients and 220,000 health plan members across 250,000 square miles, 45+ hospitals and 200 long-term care facilities. Brad is responsible for all technology systems and services including patient-critical applications, business solutions, productivity applications, infrastructure and information security. Brad is passionate about implementing innovative solutions, driving strategic change and transforming organizations and teams. In his time with Sanford Health, he has revamped the information security program; renewed the department’s focus on efficiencies, contracts and quality; and successfully positioned the health system’s technical infrastructure for stability, agility and nimbleness -- which was integral to leading and supporting Sanford Health's people, patients and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic and into the future with virtual care and digital health. Brad has more than 20 years of leadership experience in information technology, business and healthcare. Prior to joining Sanford Health in 2017, he served as CIO and Product Leader for DocuTAP, a leading software and services provider in health care technology for urgent care. Brad was instrumental in leading through multiple venture capital funding series, company acquisitions and transition to a leading global private equity firm. He previously served in a variety of information technology leadership and executive relationship management positions for Wells Fargo. Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota. He and his wife, Salena, have three children.
