About

Bhrandon Harris, MD, is a practicing Family Medicine physician and Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at UI Health. He is passionate about rethinking healthcare delivery by exploring and implementing cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices. Dr. Harris believes in promoting equitable access to digital health tools in support of improved patient and clinician outcomes. Dr. Harris has a strong formal background in Clinical Informatics, with board certification from the ABPM and Epic EMR certifications. He has extensive experience leading informatics initiatives to enhance patient engagement, health equity, and evidence-based quality improvement, especially in population health, vulnerable populations, healthcare safety and quality, and patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic. His research and scholarship are focused on the friction point between technology, patients, and health delivery systems, with publications and presentations on patient-reported outcomes, artificial intelligence in clinical care, digital health literacy, and eHealth ethics. Dr. Harris holds an MD from Loyola University of Chicago, with honors in Bioethics, and a BA in Chemistry from Williams College in Williamstown, MA. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Loyola-Cook County Family Medicine Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident. He finished his Clinical Informatics Fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago.
