Dr. Anwar Jebran is a Clinical Informatics Fellow at UI Health. He is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who believes in using technology to improve the healthcare industry. Originally from Damascus, Syria, Dr. Jebran completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL, after immigrating to the United States. Dr. Jebran is currently a Clinical Informatics fellow and Internal Medicine instructor at UI Health, where he works at the intersection of medicine and technology. Dr. Jebran is involved in several professional organizations; he is a member of the Governor's Council of the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter, the HIMSS Greater Chicago Chapter, and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). He also holds several leadership positions, including board member of the executive board of ACIF (AMIA Clinical Informatics Fellows), Chair of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Committee in the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter, and HIMSS Physicians Committee. Dr. Jebran has a wide range of interests, including entrepreneurship, clinical informatics, Value-Based Care, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Health IT, and media. In 2019, he won the American College of Physicians - MIT National Hackathon for his innovative approach to improving inpatient workflow.
