Good to see everyone today. Here's some stuff you might wanna know about. Missouri based hospital chain Ascension Health with 140 hospitals and 40 senior care facilities is notifying hundreds of thousands of patients across multiple states about recent cyber incidents involving four third party partners.

They've not publicly identified all the business associates involved in the breaches. The reports do call out two companies, access Telecare, a telehealth provider and restores health. A wound care management service ascension has not made clear whether or not any of the incidents are related to each other.

And one other question I have that's not really answered yet, have other health systems been identified by any of the partners security incidents? If I hear anything, I'll keep you posted. The Wall Street Journal is a story on UnitedHealth Group and the thousands of AI applications now in use There. The AI apps are being used across insurance and healthcare delivery and pharmacy, and other parts of the business, including customer chatbots.

20,000, 20,000. Engineers at UnitedHealth Group used AI to help write all that software. UnitedHealth Group says more than 90% of the claims that are adjudicated each year are auto adjudicated, meaning that there's a rules based automation that helps drive the decision based on the information provided.

The chief digital officer says. AI has a role to play in that, but it will never be allowed to deny a claim. It's probably good to note here that UnitedHealth Group is still involved in a class action lawsuit that claims it used flawed AI to unfairly deny claims. Turns out we're still using way too many crappy passwords.

A new study out from cyber news looked at 19 billion recently exposed passwords they had harvested from the dark web. Most people use eight character passwords. About a third of you only have lowercase letters, uh, curse words, still really popular. This is a family podcast, so I'll let you use your imagination and it's almost unbelievable, but a lot of you still use 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and the word password.

And it turns out that millions of you use the word banana in your password. It showed up 3.7 million times. It's that kind of thing that drives us into the final story. Today, Microsoft says that all new Microsoft accounts will be passwordless by default. The company started rolling out an updated sign in and sign up user experience.

The workflow for web and mobile apps, those apps have been optimized for passwordless and passkey first authentication.
