Hey everyone, I'm Drex and this is the Two Minute Drill where I do three quick stories twice a week, all part of one great community, the 229 Cyber and Risk Community here at This Week Health. d the term Zero Trust back in:

I'm just kidding. I love the marketing people, but terms like this have a tendency to be overused and oversold and misunderstood. So when Jim writes an article about busting zero trust myths, it's worth the read. And you can find that article at thisweekhelp. com slash news, along with all the other stories I'll be talking about today.

Microsoft has released a progress report on its cyber overhaul and the program it calls Secure Future Initiative. It's a program that was launched after a series of cybersecurity failures and a scathing Cyber Safety Review Board report back in April. Most of which you heard me talk about here on the two minute drill.

Well, recently Microsoft announced it was making progress implementing a cyber security governance council consisting of 13 deputy CISOs from across the organization's divisions. They've also added a separate security section to performance reviews for all senior leaders and they've tied security performance to compensation.

h also contains the September:

It'll all be on the new site. And if you've updated your Mac to the new Sequoia operating system, we're seeing some reports of it breaking security solutions from Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and others. And that's never good news for anyone. The reports on what's breaking and why at this point seem fairly random, so while I know it's tempting to get the latest OS and all the cool features, maybe on this one you just hold your horses a little bit, do some more testing.

Let some of the bugs shake themselves out. Thanks again to our two minute drill sponsor, Healthcare Cyber Partner, Fortified Health Security. With a 98 percent client retention rate and three consecutive best in class awards, Fortified's exclusive focus on healthcare cybersecurity makes them the go to partner for healthcare organizations wanting to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
