Hey everyone, I'm Drex, and this is The Two Minute Drill. We'll do at least three stories you should be keeping an eye on, at least two times a week. All part of one great community, the brand new 229 cyber and risk community. Here's some stuff you might want to know about. Let's start with this story on CISO roles and the way they're evolving.

In a nutshell, I think the days of letting your teams recommend things to your CISO or your CIO, and then just taking that recommendation from your staff, those days are over. And it should be. Stick your nose in there, ask questions, be disruptive. Change is hard. And realistically. You may need to be the change agent in this environment.

Story two, kudos to the FBI for finding a cyber thug tied to Trickbot, who are known for attacking hospitals and other entities. The FBI not only found him, they arrested him. They extradited him to the U. S. and they convicted him. Five years in prison. Not sure that's enough, but it's a start. Story three might be a good part of your security awareness messaging this week.

The story talks about how cyber gangs are manipulating search engines so their fake software shows up at the top of the list when consumers, your staff, search for specific software, especially free software. So when they click it, Starts a cascade of events that, you know, well, not good. Remind your folks to do the right thing.

And last but not least, Elon Musk's Neuralink has implanted its first chip in a human brain. The optimist in me says, cool! And the realist in me says, I wonder what could go wrong here. Don't forget, you can help crowdsource these stories, all the stories that I talk about here. Just hit thisweekhealth. com slash news and then click on become a contributor.
