After firing 130 employees at csa Doge is now diving into budget cuts for at least two of the information sharing and analysis centers or ISAC programs, CSA says it will cut the $10 million in funding provided to the Center for Internet Security for their management of both the multi-state ISAC or MS.
Isac and the election infrastructure isac. Also known as the EI iac. The EII. SAC coordinates threat information affecting state and local elections and voting system manufacturers. And the MS. IAC coordinates a broader array of threat info affecting state, local, tribal, and territorial entities. And in a world that can continues to heat up more and more with cyber attacks, this move leaves a lot of us scratching our heads.
There's a relatively new ransomware gang, Mora 0 0 1, targeting 49 firewalls as a way to get an initial foothold in an organization's network. They're taking advantage of two critical vulnerabilities that have been announced for several weeks now. And finally today, the FBI and CISA have issued warnings about another dangerous ransomware scheme. They've seen a significant uptick in the use of a ransomware as a service product called Medusa.
