William Hudson is the SVP and CIO at John Muir Health in Walnut Creek, CA. Mr. Hudson is a recognized provider healthcare leader who invests in individuals and develops capable, self-sufficient teams with deep experience developing tightly aligned operational governance focused on delivering results to plan. At John Muir Health he is responsible for partnering with hospital and physician network operations to drive digital transformation, set the project, analytics, application, technology and, security direction for a community health system encompassing two hospitals, one behavioral health, multiple urgent care facilities, an extensive ambulatory network - including a large Epic Community Connect program, and multiple strategic partnerships.

During his time as CIO at John Muir Health, he has led significant digital transformation – aligning JMH’s digital assets and enabling clinicians to support their community where they are in their individual care journeys. He leads operational delivery: Analytics, Enterprise Project Management Office, Informatics, Information Security, Information Technology, Optum Relationship Management Office and Vendor Management.

He serves on several industry and partner advisory boards including Rubrik, Tanium, Tau Sight and VMware.

Previously Mr. Hudson has served as the Chief Healthcare Strategist for VMware and, led their healthcare strategy team. Prior to that he worked at the Kettering Health Network, KHN, where he served as the CTO and provided technology leadership. During his tenure at KHN he also served as the technical project director and architect for the system-wide Epic implementation.
