Tim Calahan

Tim is a healthcare technology executive with more than 30 years of experience across healthcare delivery, enterprise platforms, and management consulting. His work has focused on helping health systems modernize infrastructure to support the operational and clinical demands of modern care.

Most recently, Tim served as Chief Technology Officer at Michigan Medicine, where he led enterprise technology strategy and a large-scale cloud transformation initiative, including the migration of Epic and Sectra to Microsoft Azure. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at RSM, NetApp, EMC, and Dell Technologies. He also served as CTO of Virtustream Healthcare Cloud, where he helped lead the development of one of the first private cloud platforms purpose-built to host Epic.

Today, Tim works with health systems through EHC Consulting to plan, migrate, and operate Epic environments in the public cloud, with a focus on resilience, security, and operational excellence. His team has helped organizations such as Community Health Network avoid millions in hardware refresh costs, improve Epic performance, and significantly reduce operational exceptions through cloud migration.
