U.S. hospitals and health systems are increasingly looking to technology to address ongoing workforce challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic. A study found that over 80% of health system executives view technology as essential for tackling recruitment and retention issues, with almost 90% planning investments in new workforce technologies soon. ThriveAP, an educational platform from UPMC Enterprises, aims to accelerate the onboarding of new advanced practitioners through education and mentorship, and has gained support from a significant portion of health leaders. The research by KLAS Research and the CCM involved interviews with 27 executives, focusing on their priorities in improving clinical staffing through innovative solutions.
