AI-powered startup Abridge has raised $30M in a Series B investment round to continue developing its app for automatic medical note generation from doctor-patient conversations. The fundraise was led by Spark Capital and valued Abridge at $200M. The startup provides an alternative to dictation software, enabling physicians to spends less time on documentation, and has been adopted by Emory Healthcare, among others. The app integrates with electronic health records systems such as Epic, and will soon offer multilingual support. Future plans include patient-focused technologies and supporting non-doctor healthcare workers.
