Today in health, it who's been your favorite guest on the show. That's the question I'm going to ask But we're going to it's Friday. So we're going to talk about a bunch of stuff. My name is bill Russell. I'm a former CIO for a 16 hospital system. And creator of this week health, a set of channels, dedicated to keeping health it staff current and engaged.

We want to thank our show sponsors or investing in developing the next generation of health leaders, Gordian dynamics, Quill health tau site nuance, Canon medical, and current Check them out at this week. health.com/today. All right. We started this week health. Pretty close to five years ago. We're going to celebrate our five-year anniversary on January 1st, we're going to spend December.

Looking back at some of the great guests and things that we have done. , maybe bring a couple of them on the show and have conversations with them. And I'm looking forward to doing that. Got together with the team yesterday. And we were brainstorming on how we could. , really, , thank all the people who have been a part of this. And I think the best way to thank them is to, , honor their time and their investment in coming on the show and sharing their stories and their wisdom and their experience.

And so we're going to strive to do that the best way we can. And one of the things I'd like to ask you. Is. Let me know bill at this week, health.com. Let me know. Who's been your favorite guest. What insights have you gotten from the show? Love to share that with the community in December. So we're putting together some shows, love to highlight some of the best guests.

As voted on by you. So let us know what your thoughts are on , I wanted to give you some ideas today of what it's like to run. The podcast , I get about, let's see I about five or six requests a day for people to come on the show. Now, as you know, we, we live at the intersection of technology and healthcare. That's where we live.

And so I literally delete about 95% of these emails before we even get And I'll give you just One example This is yesterdays. Hi bill from Marvel to DC, Sony Disney and beyond professional stuntwoman and fight choreographer. Michelle Lee has made the ultimate transformation to leading lady known for her graceful combative skills. Michelle now stars.

As one of the leaders in paramount pluses action, adventure scenes, blood, and treasure, and it goes on, talks more about her and that kind of stuff. We would love to arrange an interview with you and Michelle to discuss the current series, blood and treasure, as well as the illustrious career transitioning from.

Top tier stunt woman to leading actress. And, you know, as interesting as that would be, and it would be really interesting. And I get at least three or four a week where I go. That would be an interesting interview. , it's not at the intersection of technology and healthcare. , you know, I, I, to be honest with you, I get asked to comment on things all the time. Hey, comment on Roe V. Wade, comment on whatever. And I just say, look, we live at the intersection of technology and healthcare. We try not to get into politics unless it's at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

Like yesterday's today's show was really around the tele-health and the policy-making around tele-health while that's at the. You know, it's political, but it's at the intersection of technology and healthcare. So that's where we live. That's where we try to live. And, , it's really been, it's really been a blast. I shared a post yesterday on LinkedIn.

And just thanked our 24 sponsors for this year. We've opened up our sponsor program for next year. But I don't know if you know this, but we only take on sponsors once a year. On a January 1st, we lose all of our clients and we pick up a new set of clients. And the good news for us is that you.

We have like a 95%. Renewal rate the only time people don't, Come back and sponsor again is when they, , essentially changed strategies or we have one company that's going from B2B to B to C, and we don't really address that market well, , but we're opening it up for 2023. We have the program together. We're talking to people about it.

And, , so if you know, if you are a partner or if you know of a partner that might be interested in supporting our mission, To develop the next generation of health leaders. We would love to have you make that recommendation or to let people know that we are having those conversations. Again, my emails earlier on.

And this, so we appreciate those 24 sponsors. , special call out to a handful of people. And I did this in the LinkedIn post yesterday. , Sarah Richardson, Lee Milligan. , David Benzema, Dr. David Ben Smith directs to Ford and Frank Nitin have been guiding this thing really.

About two years in, I decided to get an advisory board. I just needed some people to bounce ideas off of and they have been just absolutely fantastic. Just brilliant. In their guidance and leadership. In providing me direction. I really have to thank the 2 29 group advisors we're putting together these small groups. In fact, one of them is going

, CMIO group down here in Naples. , we put together groups of about 15, , People. With similar titles. , CIO round table CMIO round tables. We have Cisco round tables and whatnot, and I facilitate a conversation amongst that group and it's just, it's been excellent. And we have a group of CIO advisors

, you know, and just, it's so hard to do this, but just a couple of call-outs, some people. Committed to being on the show early on when there really was no reason to commit to it other than they were friends. , obviously treks falls into that category. Sue shade has been a phenomenal supporter of the

With servers advisors, and they were a sponsor earlier on. , Sue continues to be just a great partner in supporting the work we're doing in the industry. Charles Boise, one of my favorite CTOs. , always fun to talk to him. John Halakah came on early and an east Chopra, and actually that was the mark in the show the first year.

I say this story all the time, we got about 28 downloads in the first episode. And I was wondering if I was going to continue it. And I said, all right, I'm going to do this for 52 weeks. One show a week. And, , at the end of that, we will determine whether we continue to do it and I'm back to back weeks, John Lockwood, niece Chopra, and my number shot up.

And we've never looked back since then. So it's been phenomenal. I really appreciate them coming on. And Marx has been A champion for the show and has come on a couple of times. I love the conversations with him. Dale Sanders, Tressa, spring men. , early guests and a repeat guest. , Chad burrs and dine. Darren Dworkin has been amazingly supportive.

, Nasr design-y has been out a couple of times, BJ Moore. , with Providence, , Russ brand Has been incredibly supportive and, and the people over at chime have been fantastic in their support of the content that we develop, , as she should treasure. , Scott, Becker, , you know, some people might look at it and say, oh, your competitors, we're not really competitors. We're both supporting the same industry. It's a huge industry.

I focus. Specifically on the intersection of technology and healthcare Scott's work is much broader than that. , and really love this stuff that he does. It's one of the podcasts that I do listen to. So, , love of their work, , Dr. Stephanie Lahr, Jamie Nelson. , Aaron, Mary Glen Tolman spin on a couple of times. And Andrew Rosenberg.

That's been a great supporter as well. , Dr. Michael Pfeffer, , out of Stanford. , as somebody who I, , really, , come to know and really appreciate. And Craig Richard Ville is, , again, just one of my favorite people. So it's been, ,

, great to see him at Intermountain and taking on the leadership there. So. And you know what, by giving you a list, I run the risk of sliding somebody, and I don't want to do that because everybody who's come on the show, I've learned something from, and I really appreciate. And, , it is a great honor of mine to, , , steward your investment in time and wisdom in the industry. And to share

And hopefully. , amplify great thinking to propel healthcare forward. So once again, thank you. Great. Five years again, we're going to be celebrating in December. And we're going to be doing some special shows, looking back. , talking to some of our repeat guests and whatnot. So, , be looking out for that. If you have a favorite guest, shoot me a note. Let me know bill at this week, health.com. Love to hear who they are and love to get them back on the show as soon as possible.

As I said, it's Friday, Friday. And we take a little Liberty and have a little fun. So that's what today's, show's about. If, , if you have comments, maybe we could do something different on the show. Let me know, bill it this week, health.com four times shared my email.

, which could explain why I get so much spam. Oh, well, that's all for today. If you know someone that might benefit from our channel, please forward them a note. They can subscribe on our website this week, health.com or wherever you listen to podcasts, apple, Google, overcast, Spotify, Stitcher.
